You may not know it but there is more than one version of Link's Awakening. The newer the version, the fewer the number of glitches that can be performed. Its helpful to know which version you have so that you don't sit there for hours trying to do a glitch that you can't actually do on your version. All the glitches on this site will tell you which version of the game you need to do them, so all you need to know is what version you have, which is what this page is for.
If your start screen looks like this, you have the version referred to as "B&W".
If your start screen looks like this, you have the version reffered to as "DX" (obviously this screen will be in 4 shades of grey if you are playing on an older GameBoy).
