+ | :The Japanese N64 versions of OoT have the same compile dates and times as their American counterparts, down to the second. This means that JPN v1.0 has the same compile date and time as US v1.0, etc. You can even change an American ROM into a Japanese ROM by simply changing the country code in the ROM's header. This also works in reverse, proving that the Japanese and English text is actually stored in the same ROM.--[[User:Darkeye14|Darkeye14]] 00:41, 5 December 2010 (UTC) | ||
Oh, and about the VC version: I know the US VC version is just an emulated version of N64 v1.2. If you extract the ROM from the game and open it in, say, Mupen, you'll find that the Gerudo symbols aren't even changed! The Wii's emulator is the one changing the symbols, not the ROM itself.--[[User:Darkeye14|Darkeye14]] 03:42, 4 December 2010 (UTC) | Oh, and about the VC version: I know the US VC version is just an emulated version of N64 v1.2. Mismatching versions
Information relating to versions behaving like a different version should go here. Version determination 'must' be based off compile date, not cartridge type/blood colour/N logo etc...
OoT 3d
This page(and the glitch header) sure is going to get pretty strange once the new 3d version of OoT comes out. Of course, since it is a complete remake, it will probably have a much different selection of glitches from the last versions. I am thinking about buying it(and a 3ds) anyway, so I'll probably be able to do a lot of glitch testing when it comes out. - Zafum 20:44, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
I'd expect it will be a recompiled version of GCN so it should behave pretty similar, but if they do any gameplay tweaks they're sure to introduce some new bugs :) Zcwikiadmin 22:42, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
