Link's Awakening Version Guide

Link's Awakening has two versions, the original GameBoy version, and the remastered color version. There are then three versions within each of these two - 1.0, 1.1, and 1.2.

Some glitches will only work on a specific version of the game, if this is the case it should be stated on the glitch's page. If version is not mentioned on a glitch's page then the glitch should work on all available versions.

B&W	If your start screen looks like this, you have the version referred to as "B&W". Version 1.0: If you are able to perform the No Fishing glitch, you have version 1.0. Otherwise: If you cannot perform it, you have either version 1.1 or 1.2.
DX	If your start screen looks like this, you have the version reffered to as "DX" (obviously this screen will be in 4 shades of grey if you are playing on an older GameBoy). Information on versions to come.
