This version guide is still missing numerous information, such as any differences between Japanese and international in the GCN and GBA versions, as well as any differences between platforms within a region, as well as any specifics to which version is used for the Virtual Console releases. Additional information about the original release is also welcome, such as a list version of this video.

There are multiple versions of Zelda II: The Adventure of Link.

Original Releases (FDS/NES)

The original release of the game has several differences between the Japanese Famicom Disk System version and the international Nintendo Entertainment System version. Aside from differences in media (JPN uses disks, international uses cartridges) and some sounds (the FDS has an additional sound channel the NES doesn't), a few other general differences are in place between Japanese and international versions. For clarity, on glitch pages, the Japanese version will be referred to as FDS and the international version will be referred to as NES.

Gamecube Version (GCN)

This is the version of the game released on The Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition disc. It will be referred to on glitch pages as GCN.

Game Boy Advance Version (GBA)

This is the version of the game released in Famicom Mini series 3 in Japan and the Classic NES Series 2 internationally. It will be referred to on glitch pages as GBA.
