Instructions

1. Start a new game.
2. Get your shield back from Tarin.
3. Look at your map (you must not leave the house).

Result

The "location pointer" will indicate that you are somewhere in the mountains at the top of the map. Once you leave the house this will fix itself.

Notes

• Oddly enough, this does not affect the Japanese or French versions of the game.
