If you've been playing around with Crooked Cartridge, and saving your game, it's possible that you mave have brought your game to the point where it crashes when attempting to load the file select screen. If so, you can use the following method to return your game to normal.

Instructions

  1. Remove the two screws on the back of the cartridge using a screwdriver (if you have the right type) or a hard pointed object.
  2. Remove the back of the cartridge and then take out the two screws (normal ones this time) holding the piece of metal in place.
  3. Locate the battery.
  4. Turn over the chipset and locate the two pieces of metal which hold the battery on. Using a soldering iron, remove the battery.
  5. Replace the battery (solder it back in!) and put the cartridge back together. All your save files will have been wiped and your game should now load like normal.

If you do this on a PAL version game, then the first time you turn it on afterwards, a special screen will come up asking which language to use.
