About the warning box

I'm just curious about how it says that doing this trick will void your warranty. Does the warranty for Ocarina of Time really last this long? - Zafum 13:17, 17 December 2010 (UTC)

It was my impression that pre-NGC Nintendo offered a lifetime warranty on it's stuff, though this may just have been the hardware and not applied to games? Not sure Zcwikiadmin 15:29, 4 February 2011 (CST)

A Different Approach

It's a little hard to see with the small images, but it might be possible to just slip a piece of paper in between the top contact point. Leave it in place for a good 30 seconds or so, then pull it out and it should be reset. --Onideus 04:52, 4 February 2011 (CST)

That sounds like an interesting idea. I've never really tried pulling my cartridge apart, so I wouldn't know for sure what connections are there; but if you test your theory and it works, feel free to post it on the page. - Zafum 11:26, 4 February 2011 (CST)

This won't work as the battery is spot-welded to both contacts, though there is the (slight) possibility that this differs from one cart to another... Zcwikiadmin 15:29, 4 February 2011 (CST)
