Instructions

1. Get the item you want to start with on the B button using Bottle Adventure(This includes your sword).
2. Get on Epona.
3. Press start (You have to quit this way or else the glitch won't work) and quit the game (Saving is optional)
4. Start a new game.

Result

After gaining control of Link, you will still have the item on the B button you had on the other file.

Notes

• If you die or save and quit with a non-sword item on B, it will be rendered useless.

• If you want to save and quit without losing your item, go to the Fishing Pool and save while holding the fishing rod.

• If you save with Iron Boots on, they will stay on permanently

• Using the Hookshot as Young Link results in him sticking his arm out in front. Thus locking up the game.
