Instructions

1. Start a new game.
2. Make your way over to the long haired Kokiri blocking the way out of the forest.
3. Use the Crooked Cartridge trick to walk through him, then push the cartridge back in and exit the Forest.
4. Saria will give Link the Fairy Ocarina and then you'll be out into Hyrule Field, with no sword or any other items apart from the Fairy Ocarina.

Notes

Try fishing, Link holds the rod in one hand as though it is the sword and you cannot cast it.

Also try doing the shooting gallery game; although you have no slingshot, you can still play it. The icon showing how many shots you have left does not appear and if you win you receive the biggest Deku Seed bag.

You can also escape the forest with no items at all by exiting via the "tunnel warp" in the Lost Woods.
