Instructions

1. As Adult Link, enter Kakariko Village during the day.
2. Use your Longshot to get into the passageway in the Windmill.
3. Beat the stuffing out of the Cucco there until it calls for backup.
4. With the Cucco mob in hot pursuit, jump down the well and into safety.

Result

Here in the dank depths of the well, the Cuccos will rarely be able to reach you. They'll appear and disappear in the well shaft above you, and their clucking will "skip" as they rapidly come and go. Occasionally, one will make it to the bottom of the well, but it'll usually disappear after a couple of steps.
