Instructions

1. Find a Beamos.
2. While standing close to the Beamos, Z-Target it and press a C-button to take out your Hookshot/Longshot, Fairy Bow or Slingshot -- and continue to hold the C-button down.
3. The Beamos should see you and fire its laser at you. As soon as it injures you, press and hold the C-button again.

Result

Link will now stand with his hands at his side and will occasionally hold the item up in front of him. The Beamos will be shooting its laser at you but you won't take any damage, and no other enemies nearby will be able to hurt you either.
