Instructions

1. As Child Link, go to the Fishing Pond and catch a fish that's at least 6 pounds.
2. Swim out into the middle of the pond and face the owner.
3. Press and hold Z and R, and then swim out of the water and walk up to the owner. Do not let go of the Z and R buttons.
4. Still holding Z and R, talk to the owner and choose to weigh your fish. He'll give you the Golden Scale!

Result

You'll earn the Golden Scale early. If the fish you caught for the Golden Scale is between 6-9 pounds, you will still be able to get the Heart Piece here too.

Notes

• This allows you to access Jabu Jabu early. Not only can you now dive low enough to get through any hole that leads to Zora's Domain, but you can also get Ruto's letter to show to King Zora.
