Link, as he appears from above water.
Link, viewed from inside the waterfall.
The game toggles an "underwater effect" when the camera passes through water; here, the game simply didn't notice that the camera passed out of the waterfall, so it didn't remove the effect.

Instructions

  1. Go to Lake Hylia.
  2. Head over to the small waterfall near by the Lakeside Laboratory -- the one that feeds water from Gerudo Valley into the lake.
  3. Jump down so you're in the lake, and stand in the shallow water on the Laboratory side of the waterfall.
  4. Face away from the waterfall and press Z so that the camera goes into the waterfall and gets the underwater effect.
  5. Take out your Ocarina.

Result

The camera will move around in front of Link like normal, but the water effect won't end -- everything will still appear as though you were looking at it from underwater. Once you put the Ocarina away, the camera will lose the effect.

This works in other places, such as Zora's Domain, where you can use the Hookshot and Z-Targeting to get the camera under the water beneath the ice.
