About me

Hi, Nchaos here. I'm a 24 years old guy from France.

I joined this community the 16 March 2017. I'm happy to finally help to gather a compendium of all glitches existing in the Zelda series. I knew this wiki for so many years now but never had the time to join and contribute myself. As some people say, there is a beginning at everything!

I want to be a fairly active member, even if in the future I know I won't be able to help as much.

  • Breath of the Wild Glitches - Attack Animation Cancel : Found by Gabyelnuevo (21/06/16) for the Jump Cancel method, jumping during your attack stops the animation but still does damage ; Found by Venick (07/02/17) for the Swap Weapon Cancel method, swapping between weapons during an attack stops the animation and allows you to attack again immediately with your new selected weapon.
  • Breath of the Wild Glitches - E3 Demo Weird Textures : Found by Narcissa Wright (15/01/17), just some ephemeral graphical glitches founded while playing normally the Wii U E3 Demo.
  • Breath of the Wild Glitches - Vah Rudania Door Clip : Found by Kitty (01/03/17) for the Bomb Clipping method, in Divine Beast Vah Rudania, you can go through the Sheikah Eye in the middle of the door which is directly on the left at the main entrance of the Divine Beast, where you need to lit a torch with a blue flame on the other side of the door to open it, by turning on its side the Divine Beast, placing a bomb in front of the door, jumping on the edge of the door then jumping on the eye while going forward to not fall, and then make the bomb explode to go through the door ; Found by Dwlucien (04/03/17) for the Crouch Clipping method, same door, same steps but instead of using a bomb, you simply crouch while walking on the Sheikah Eye (this method is better since you don't have to take any damage). This glitch is usefull if you don't have any arrows to use to lit the torch since you can use a torch or a wooden weapon instead.
  • Breath of the Wild Glitches - Fast Travel Softlock : Found by Memetendo (02/03/17), putting a horse on the teleportation pedestal of a shrine and teleport to this shrine can softlock the game (with Link's head appearing first, then the rest of his body).
  • Breath of the Wild Glitches - Air-Mounting : Found by Olof Larsson (03/03/17) for the Blood Moon Cutscene method, mounting a wild animal (or a Lynel?) at the same moment a Blood Moon triggers makes Link stuck in the air ; Found by Brybry (06/03/17) for the Disappearing Mount method, mounting a wild animal, that disappears when it runs away (like a deer), at the exact moment it disappears makes Link stuck in the air ; Found by Sierra Rinehart (24/03/17) for the Killed Mount method, killing a Lynel (does any wild mount, even a horse, can work?) while you can mount it (when it kneels, because of a critical hit or enough damage in a row dealt) and mounting it when it is dying (the exact timing is still unknown) makes Link stuck in the air. In the three methods, you still can use weapons, runes, etc... Also, it seems you can softlock yourself (by attacking with a two-handed weapon while stuck?) or unstuck yourself by damaging you with Bombs or Bomb Arrows (does the thunder or enemies work too?). Needs more research!
  • Breath of the Wild Glitches - Way High in the Sky : Found by DPadGamer (14/03/17), doing the Air-Mounting and killing yourself while still stuck (you can unstuck yourself after being hit by two bombs so you have to kill yourself at least on the second bomb) makes Link to reappear high in the air when you decide to continue the game after the Game Over screen (is it possible to die to an enemy or by the thunder or else?). Needs more research!
  • Breath of the Wild Glitches - Infinite Sprinting : Found by Untraced (03/03/17) for the Throwing Weapon Sprinting method, mashing the "Throw weapon" and "Dash" buttons at the same time while having a weapon equipped and the Sprinting Gauge still filled makes Link running infinitely ; Found by Zayloox (04/03/17) for the Whistle Sprinting method, holding down constantly the "Whistle" button and mashing the "Dash" button while having the Sprinting Gauge still filled makes Link running infinitely (but whistling is louder than running so enemies and animals will spot you even more easily). For these two methods, Link is running at a pace a little slower than the "normal" running but its Sprinting Gauge can refill itself while using this method.
  • Breath of the Wild Glitches - Out of Bounds area in Kah Okeo Shrine : Found by TOP HEIN ?! (04/03/17), in the last room of the Shrine, after navigating with a flying platform around spikes, there is a puzzle where you need to destroy a huge pillar of broken rocks with around little platforms with torches, use the propelling platform to fly towards the rock pillar, land on one of the litte platform where the torches are, drop a Bomb, jump in the Void without touching another platform and detonate the Bomb while falling (or detonate the Bomb in such a way that it will blast you down in the Void, even if it is a little harder this way and it gives more damage than just falling in the Void), you will then reappear Out of Bounds, on top of the room on that little platform where the torch were (this happens because this platform disappears Out of Bounds and the game respawns you on the last platform you were before going in the Void). If you go on the edge of this Out of Bounds zone, jump and fly in the distance past the black zone you can see below you that triggers the "falling into a pit" animation, then fall in the blue Void, you will fall infinitely. Save before to be sure to not lose any progress since you can softlock yourself if you go to far away from the Shrine on the sides, but, if you are not softlock, you can unstuck yourself by going on the map and teleport yourself out of the Shrine if you are falling into this blue abyss.

In case I lost this (or if someone wants to help me, which would be great when I see all the work needed), I gathered everything I could on BotW glitches (and there is way more to come in the near future). For information, I've watched and read all of this, yes.. x)


Exploring the Out of Bounds areas of Hyrule (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fX5E_szg9XY / https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=syhoH9SsfUE / https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O7SaVsP4OQQ) - 04/03 by GameXplain (Go to any place high and close to the edge of the map (for example, at the highest place possible in Hebra Peak, Hebra North or West Summit, Mount Agaat, Lomei Labyrinth Island, etc...). Having Revali's Gale or anything to make a fire and create an ascending air flow, some food/elixirs to enhance speed or restaure/enhance stamina, or anything giving you a way to easily travel high/long distance (stasised objects, glitches like the Infinite Flying Minecarts Trick, etc...) would be essential to reach to the eged of the map. Fly high and foward as much as you can. After a while, you will in some cases go through intangible wall textures and, most of the time, face a violent wind trying to push you back. Cancelling and reopening multiple times your paraglider will help you progressing through this wind. If you manage to go far enough, you will mostly hit an invisible barrier triggering the "You can't go any farther" message. It is possible to climb some walls on the edge of the map but you will always be stopped by the invisible barrier. However, it is in theory possible to go above and past the invisible barrier and visit the Out of Bounds area of the main map, with huge lands depicted with detail but also unfinished terrain, all made in textures and not actual ground, sometimes depecting some places in Hyrule, like the Zora's Domain or one of the three labyrinths, Out of Bounds area quite huge for what it is, normally unreachable and impossible to even see.)


Boomerang Non-Stop Attack Glitch (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPKaX7ZgY0U - 04/03 by Noragami (South of the "Lake Tower", on the road beginning at the "Mounted Archery Camp", after going through the stone bridge crossing the "Menoat River", there is a spot around the first little turn on the road where a boomerang can glitch and spin for a while around the player. Aiming at maximum to your feet or in the sky makes the boomerang spin a little like in the glitch, maybe is it a track to replicate this glitch? The new videos clearly show that the angle and/or place of launch makes the glitch occur.)


Infinite Loop Glitch (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7bTmUZYSC7M) - 04/03 by Nintendo Archive (In Daka Tuss Shrine, on the second puzzle, take the giant bowl with you and throw it in a way that it falls underwater on the edge of one of the corners of the switch. If done correctly, the cutscene showing the shutters opening (and closing right after, because the bowl is placed in a way that the switch is not pressed enough to not goes up again) will play again and again. You can still act for a few frames between two cutscenes and, unstuck yourself by picking up the bowl (even if it will be hard to do so) or open the map and teleport yourself outside to stop this madness (if by bad luck you can't teleport yourself out, you will have to load an old save so be cautious when using this glitch if you do not want to lose any progress).)


20 Hearts Wolf Link Glitch (https://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/189707-the-legend-of-zelda-breath-of-the-wild/75067823) - 04/03 by typicalrik (Scanning your Wolf Link amiibo in TP on a new created save file will give you Wolf Link with 20 hearts in BotW. If you already have used your amiibo on another save file, reset it, create a new save file, then set your amiibo as a quick load for that new file. Wolf Link amiibo that is not linked at all to TP will not give a 20 hearts Wolf Link but a 3 hearts one. This was patched in the version 1.1.2 of the game.)


Out of Bounds area in Zalta Wa Shrine w/ Shield Breaking Animation (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C03Ymvr2Rmg) - 05/03 by gymnast86 (You need to have a shield that will broke on the next use when Shield Surfing. Once you entered the Shrine, go on top of one of the four little pillars at the edge of the elevator/exit of the Shrine and Shield Jump (not with the future broken shield, unless it has 2 uses before breaking and you do not screw up your landing ; as a reminder, hold "Shield/Center" button, use the "Jump" button while moving forward and use the "Action" button to make a shield jump) on top of one of the lamp on the side (use the "Scope" button if you want you jump to be more precise), then Shield Jump to the ornament at the back of the elevator/exit of the Shrine now with the future broken shield (the angle to this jump is to aim with your Scope at the intersection between the ornament and the wall). If done correctly, you will clip in the wall to your left.)


Cutscene Clip OoB (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0TY4vhdpZNA) - 05/03 by Ebucemag (After a cutscene in the Gerudo Desert (Blood Moon? Divine Beast Vah Naboris?), got stuck in a stone (while climbing?), NW of Kara Kara Bazaar (around the hollow of the little rock formation), couldn't warp and so had to load last save file.)


Horse Load Clipping (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cVIPLJ0BJdU / https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ugThyuS-BU) - 06/03 by rocmox (Go anywhere you want to clip inside with a horse (registered or not, it does not matter ; sadly, the place you want to clip in needs to be accessible for your horse but it is not that limiting), ride your horse and make it turns its back of the spot you want to clip in, approach the rear of the horse to the maximum of this spot, jump off your horse and while you are still in the air, open the main menu, save the game and load that same save file, and you will reappear behind your horse inside the spot you wanted to be in. In a lot of cases, you will not be able to return outside of it and you will have to teleport somewhere to unstuck yourself.)


Stamina Reset Glitch (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJxlojiQyW0) - 06/03 by TheHobbit95 (When you run out of Stamina while climbing, if you jump off the wall and use your paraglider right away, your Stamina Wheel will be totally restored it seems.)


Ragdoll Bokoblin Glitch (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvYZZ2Y_Lnc) - 06/03 by Vinny (Sometimes, when a Bokoblin is thrown by a Moblin (don't know if it is because of where it was thrown, how or just some randomness), it can glitch and, be unable to unragdoll itself and move again (unless you shoot it with an arrow in the face). If the Moblin throw the Bokoblin in a pillar while being close to it, the Bokoblin can gain high speed and be thrown really far.)


Damageless Bomb Recoil (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MEAZqeAvyJw) - 06/03 by rocmox (It seems if you hit a trigger at the same time as using a bomb then the bomb will not damage you but still has recoil (assuming the trigger does not cancel all hitboxes).)


Barrel Absorption (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FxxGDdwu0po) - 06/03 by rocmox (Get on top of a barrel that is sideways (only a large barrel with a hole can work, like the one on the Great Plateau in front of King Rhoam's house). Have it move a little bit and do a shield surf stationary jump. If done properly you will slowly be absorbed into the barrel.)


Invisible Wolf Link (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qh9rNfuEXxY) - 06/03 by Teh Only Hero (The model of Wolf Link can somehow unload and not load again (maybe if it is too far away), making it invisible (but still tangible) (Wii U version only?).)


What? Underwater? Sadly, you can only walk underwater on that patch.)


Sticky Laser Glitch (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eWaj-hyaosE / https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7MlpbNIoARY) - 07/03 by Ze1dahead (Z-targetting while fighting a Guardian Scout with your shield equipped and parrying its mini laser beam after having moved on the side (you need to parry the laser when its a little on the side from you : to better understand it, move on the side and block with your shield the laser of the enemy, and if it touches your shield, with the little animation showing your shield has blocked the attack, but the laser continue its journey behind you instead of disappearing like normally it would do, then you have the perfect movement/placement to do the glitch), it will make a visual glitch of that laser sticking on you instead of striking back at the enemy. The laser stuck on you can sometimes still do damage and disappear after a while or after you parry, shield-jumping, etc... You can also have multiple lasers sticked on you. You can also have just the laser being parried but not going back at the enemy and just disappearing, depending on your position (the laser needs to be a little more close to you than in the glitch, but not too much or it will be reflected normally at the enemy). This glitch is easier to try if the Guardian Scout only attack you with its laser, by being in height and inaccessible for example. The laser beams from Ganon and the Guardians do not seem to work (there is just with the laser of the Guardians a really minor visual glitch of the beam waving a little from one side to another if you try this glitch on them, but nothing really obvious otherwise).)


Minor Visual Glitch - Crouch Animation Glitch (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mh2JR3ahk1c) - 07/03 by James Blenkinsopp (Crouch and repeatedly press the "Focus" button while moving.)


Guardian's Laser Collision Glitch (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qBljfX0VNAo) - 08/03 by Mike Matei (Sometimes, the laser of Guardians does not care about some walls and will go through them. One example of this is around the Central Tower, there is at the feet of the Tower, on the East of it exactly, a Decayed Guardian surrounded by two walls with a large opening in each one : be close to the one facing North/South, go on the left so the Guardian can see you and when it is just about to fire its beam, run a little on the right so the Guardian fires on the wall (stop just at the end of the ivies on the bottom of the wall to be perfectly placed). If done correctly, it is going to go through it and touches you.)

Hitting a Guardian while still being under Stasis can make it go crazy, like flipping upside down for example, before falling through the ground.)


Namita Ozz Shrine No Teleportation Glitch (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aNB5gUMSAe4) - 08/03 by Pedalpowerluigi (The Namika Ozz Shrine can somehow "locked" itself up at some point in the game, even after being completed before. Perhaps some flag elsewhere is shared with this one or the save got corrupted somehow.)


Infinite Apple Horse Bound (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SB2o7UEBeoM) - 08/03 by aaronhotchocolate (Hold an apple in front of your horse and when your horse has begun to eat it (when the mouth of your horse has just begun to touch the apple), immediately press the "Cancel" button and, the apple will still be in your inventory and your bond with your horse will still increase.)


Flying Horse Rider Glitch (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bg530oecVtM / https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YiPKv_8yhyA / https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcdITGByruk) (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=omJ7UgLypog) - 08/03 by jojo nini for the Drown on Horse method (Essentially all you have to do is having your horse beside a muddy marsh and have Link go inside of the muddy water. As Link starts to descend into the water, simply get on your horse without touching normal ground. If done correctly, Link is now considered in the "into water" state but outside water (is there anything new possible with this particular state?). Now, ride away from the area in order to go vertically under the muddy marsh and Link will suddenly drown while on his horse. The game will reload (and possibly drown Link once more, depending on where you drowned) and then Link will automatically be put back on top of the horse standing, or he will be thrown off the horse but still holding onto the horse reins and after rolling around for awhile, he will automatically be put back on top of the horse standing.
You are now in DoH standing state. You are in a state that is in between being standing on ground and being on your horse. In this state, you cannot directly control your horse. You cannot jump (technically you can but you don’t gain any height), you cannot use any runes, you cannot use normally your weapons (but you can use your bows) and you are stuck on top of your horse. You can also not do any "spin" charged attack, unless you are using wands or "spin" charged attack of two-handed weapons (which will not do the spin attack but just the final strike when you have finished to spin). Using any of the above (wands and the final strike of the "spin" charged attack of two-handed weapons), throwing a weapon at your horse or using your bow to attack your horse (or as we will see, using a falling attack with one-handed weapons to hit your horse) makes it move. Technically, there is a way for you to attack "normally" with any weapon : first way to so, mash the "Jump" and the "Attack buttons at the same time to do a falling attack with any weapon but it will not hit your horse, just the ground under it ; second way is to maintain the "Focus" button, and use the "Jump" button while moving backwards on your horse and use the "Attack" button rapidly after to use a normal attack with two-handed weapons (which will not hit your horse), a jumping attack with one-handed weapons (which will also not hit your horse), and sometimes a falling attack with one-handed weapons that can hit your horse if you spammed the "Jump" and the "Attack" buttons too much. Whistling causes your registered horse to turn around, with a few different variations of patterns.
Now, another variation is to do anything but jump and/or use your paraglider after you finished to drown and to be put back on top of your horse (the paraglider will only active itself when your horse move), and you will now be in DoH falling state (there is no specific timing to go in DoH falling state, you can wait for many minutes after being put back on your horse and then jump to do it, just do not do anything else between being put back on the horse and jumping or you will be put in DoH standing state). You are in a state that is in between being falling in the air and being on your horse. In this state, you can use your bow, do a jumping or falling attack, shield surf and use your paraglider (only if you were able to use it after drowning on your horse, otherwise you need to use the "Jump" button twice when in falling position on it and wait for your horse to move or use the "Jump" button twice when the horse is moving, or attack it with a jump attack to make it move and use your paraglider, or use your paraglider while shield surfing and simply unequip your shield). If you appear not standing on your horse but way above it while using the paraglider, it will cause Link to be thrown upwards high into the sky if you save and reload : a simple way to be in this position is to jump/fall attack your horse and as soon as Link hits it, spam the "Jump" button and Link will be stuck paragliding way above the horse this time. If you shield surf in this state, you can do a shield spin attack on your horse to make it move (it seems really hard to hit with your shield a registered horse for some reasons, unless it is the Giant Horse in the Taobab Grassland, and a registered horse won't move as far as a wild one when hit) and sometimes your camera gets lost in the distance while shield surfing (Link being in two different states, on horse and on foot, it seems shield surfing makes Link technically moves elsewhere than on the horse and the camera can follow this "other" Link, but he is invisible, and as soon as you move the camera in a different way (only if the two entities are still close or you won't reach the horse riding one otherwise ; having the camera all the way down to the ground will show you the shield surfing one, all the way up will try to show you the horse riding one), the camera goes back to Link's other "true" location where he is mostly visible (he actually becomes invisible depending of the angle of the camera around this Link), the horse ; if you want the camera to be back to normal, paragliding while shield surfing, cancel the shield surfing or unequip your shield will resolve this issue ; you can also take damage when shield surfing or cancelling it depending on where the shield surfing entity is, each entity of Link being real in a way and so each being able to interract with their environment). When using your bow, you can see that the arrow shots will begin way high and far of Link's horse position in this state, and their pattern is even crazier when using your bow while shield surfing. If you consume all your stamina with the paraglider or the bullet time effect and you use your weapon, you will be stuck on your horse and not able to do anything else (more precisly, you can still use your paraglider again once after your stamina is empty, then you will not be able to use it again if you use your weapon this time) : getting hit or teleporting are the only ways to unstuck yourself (and in the first case, it will regenerate your stamina but will not cancel the glitch).
If you get hit while in DoH falling state, you will be put back in DoH standing state if you do anything else but jumping/using your paraglider again when you come back on your horse. Luckily, there is also a way to go to the DoH falling state when in DoH standing state : using a one-handed weapon and doing a jumping/falling attack while in DoH standing state (like explained before, using the "Jump" and "Attack" buttons while maintaining the "Focus" button and moving backwards), it will change you back to the DoH falling state (using and cancelling the paraglider will unstuck you from the attacking position Link is stuck in).
If you talk to an NPC, you will see Link is put back into his saddle and once the conversation is over, he gets forcefully popped up into the air and DoH state is cancelled.
If you get your horse into water at some point while in DoH state, you will notice that Link splashes water constantly as if he was on it, no matter where your horse is.) ; 16/03 by Ya Boi Shak for the Shrine Cutscene method (Go with your horse to any Shrine with a quest which needs to shoot an arrow to be completed (for example the Cursed Statue Shrine Quest, for the Kam Urog Shrine), jump off your horse and use your bow to activate the bullet time effect and shot your arrow to complete the quest. After the cutscene showing the Shrine appearing, if you did it right, you will be stuck on your horse like you would be in the Drown on Horse falling state.)
Infinite Drowning (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcdITGByruk) - 25/03 by rocmox (While you are in Drown on Horse state, if you kill your horse while on top of it, you stay stuck to it as it falls down, until it despawns entirely, and then are out of the DoH state. One fun effect you can abuse with this glitch is that the game still thinks you are on the horse when it is dead (but not despawned). Therefore if you kill your horse while it is swimming (water or muddy water), you will drown but keep respawning on the dead horse’s body which is underwater, and keep drowning non-stop until the horse despawn (respawning Link at its last real location : normally, it will be where the horse despawn, unless you shield surfed and in this case it is where the shield surfing Link was, or if you managed to cancel all actions of Link at the moment you horse died and in this case it is where the horse died) or until you lose all your hearts and die (which will probably happen the most, unless you have a huge amount of hearts and fairies). This last sentance needs to be verified, and the exact amount of hearts needed to be found, if it is even possible?..)
DoH Damage Boosting (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcdITGByruk) - 25/03 by rocmox (In Drown on Horse state, any time Link takes damage, his ragdoll physics activate and he is thrown away crazily but you can control him. As already stated, Link will eventually be put back on the horse. If you are hit right as you get put back on the horse, you can experience insane speeds with a bit of vertical velocity allowing you to travel really far (but still in DoH state so you get put back on top of your horse eventually). You can drown in this high velocity ragdoll physics state, which asks the question what would happen if you managed to use this state and hit a cutscene?)


Weapon Rack Glitch (https://www.reddit.com/r/Breath_of_the_Wild/comments/5ydb3o/psa_if_you_put_a_weapon_bow_or_shield_with_a) - 09/03 by konami9407 (If you put any equipment in the gear displays in Link's house in Hateno Village, leave far away from the house and come back (or save and load the game), the equipment will lose its enhancement or can gain an enhancement. To explain this, the game just saves what kind of equipment is placed in the mount and its durability (it seems the developpers forgot to add the saving of the enhancements), but acts like it is a new spawned weapon everytime it needs to load it (explaining why the weapon as a chance to end up with or without an enhancement).)

Line up the Guardian's laser so it grazes past this protective surface to lock on to you. When fired, shots should hit the surface instead of you. Take out the Camera Rune and go into selfie mode. Move the selfie camera be so it's closer to the Guardian than Link is and leave it there until the Guardian starts locking on and firing again. The next time the Guardian locks on to something, it'll select the camera, and not Link.
It seems Guardians do some kind of lock-on twice between the time they notice you and the time they shoot at you. The first lock-on seems to happen just before the targeting laser even appears. The second lock-on seems to happen just before the Guardian starts beeping rapidly. You need to get the selfie camera out and keep it closer to the Guardian *before* it shows its targeting laser, and keep the selfie camera closer to the Guardian just as the Guardian starts beeping rapidly. After doing that setup once, it seems like you can ignore doing the first lock-on, and just do the second one to keep lasers firing at the selfie camera instead of Link. That way, you can successfully made a Guardian continually aim at the selfie camera without having anything in the way to protect you. You can walk around facing away from the Guardian with the camera out, toggling in and out of selfie mode as needed.)


Fast Travel Momentum Carry (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxUT2RqPmuA) - 11/03 by rocmox (You can bomb yourself from ground/right above ground and Fast Travel before you hit the ground to carry Link’s momentum. You can do fun stuff like FTMC into a lava waterfall and you will see lava infinitely smack Link on the head until the Fast Travel whisks him away. In FTMC state, Link will automatically grab walls, land on ledges, and go into many different states.
However, if you attempt to do FTMC at a decent height above ground (probably 2 Link heights off ground or higher), he will instantly freeze and trigger the Respawn/Fast Travel and it will not work.
If it becomes possible to break out of fast travelling by using this into some sort of other trigger/state then theoretically we’d have discovered an invincibility glitch and maybe a whole load of other effects.
Normally, if you initiate a Respawn trigger/Fast Travel while slightly above ground link will continue doing whatever action he is in until he hits some sort of ground/collision or if a certain period of time passes. In this state, Link is invincible and time does not stop until the fast travel officially starts (in other words, Link hits collision/period of time passes). This doesn’t mean though that all other events/triggers can naturally happen as this state has a high priority, but it does offer hope for more glitches.)


Glitch your Horse into the Final Boss (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IfUuEIZ8bz8 / https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=02awiG_JP6Q) - 12/03 by Devan (Go to Hyrule Castle with a registered horse (a wild one will disappear as soon as the cutscene triggers). Once you have ridden your horse up the path through Hyrule Castle, the Sanctum has an invisible horse barrier, preventing you from proceeding on horseback. However, this barrier is not present on any of the other Sanctum entrances. So, you can trot (Z-target) your horse over the little cliff behind the left or right wall (the left one is way easier) and around the water into a second entrance and into the Sanctum.
Another (really slow) way to get the horse in is to leave it near the main door, then leave Hyrule Castle. Come back later (after doing some quests or just wandering in Hyrule) and the horse should have walked into the room on its own, then, glide onto the horse. Once inside, you have to trot your horse in order to move around.
If you do not have free all the Divine Beasts and have to fight against the Blights Ganon, you only need to deliver the last blow to the last Blight Ganon you need to fight while on your horse in order to keep it on the Calamity Ganon fight. You also do not need to be on your horse while activating the cutscene for the Blights Ganon fight, he just need to be inside the Sanctum to stay with you there.
During the Calamity Ganon fight, since the cutscene and the phase only trigger when Link and Ganon are on the ground, if you stay on your horse while damaging Calamity Ganon past the first half of its health, the fight will not stop to proceed on its second phase (until Link is on the ground with Ganon at the same time), giving you the advantage to not have to deal with Calamity Ganon invicibility.
As long as you deliver the final blow while on your horse, you can proceed through to the Dark Beast Ganon fight with it, or you would think so since the game softlock after the cutscene leading to this fight (you can't do anything and you will have no choice but to close or restart the game).
Some oddities can happen during this glitch, here are some examples. If you let your horse inside the Sanctum while you trigger the Blights Ganon cutscene, when the fight begins, he will be pushed by an invisible force to the edge of the arena : because of this, your horse can sometimes clip through the floor or walls and be stuck there, unreacheable (for example, by entering on the left side and leaving inside the Sanctum your horse, on the left side around the entrance, he can clip in the low wall on the floor around the little stairs leading to the arena, having only its head visible or even falling into the abyss). During the Blights Ganon fight, sometimes, if you ride your horse around the entrances or even without doing anything, the Hyrule Castle music will play instead of the boss fight music. If you entered the Sanctum with your horse on the left side and have freed all Divine Beasts, in order to see Link in the cutscene (he will be glitched, standing still on top of your horse), you have to head for the far left corner and activate the cutscene trigger there. At one point during the cutscene leading to the Calamity Ganon fight, you can see Link's paraglider gliding down the Sanctum by itself. Sometimes, if you trigger the second phase of the Calamity Ganon fight, Ganon will just disappear and you will be stuck in the arena with the horse. During the Dark Beast Ganon cutscene, you can see Link standing in the air right next to its horse and being glitched when trying to mount it.
It is almost impossible to easily deliver the final blow to Thunderblight Ganon while being on your horse but still manageable : one way to do so is to lower its health at the maximum you can while fighting its second phase and destroy its shield (by attacking it multiple times, throwing a weapon at it or reflecting its laser). While the boss is a little stunned and vulnerable, jump as fast as you can on your horse (make sure he is close to you since the timing is tight) and fire an arrow at the boss to finally kill it (using a Bomb Arrow is easier since the explosion can sometimes still hit if you miss your target). Be careful, any forms of Ganon can easily kill your horse and ruin all the fun so do your best to protect your equine friend.)

Go ahead where this asperity is and fall off the platform to land where the floor tile is missing (if you want the glitch to occur easily, you need to fall close to the up corners of the missing tile). Using a falling attack to boost your momentum while falling will help you make the glitch easier. Keep pushing up (and left or right depending on where you land inside the missing tile) as you fall inside the missing floor tile so you will begin to swim under the floor. You can now swim under the floor everywhere there is water in this room. If you go North of the missing tile though, you will begin to fall under the Shrine in the blue Void. If you use your paraglider fast enough when falling Out of Bounds and fly elsewhere under the Shrine, you will be able to reach water in other rooms of the Shrine and also in normally inaccessible rooms, and being attracted upward by the water under the floor of these rooms.
There is antoher missing floor tile in the bottom right of this same pond, but it seems impossible to use to go under the floor (but you can still use it to go back from under the floor).
Also, when you enter the shrine, there is an elevator leading you to the first puzzle and there are also horizontal bars where you can run on without falling, something probably not intended.)

While fighting, the Guardian Scouts have a particular attack that can make them glithed out : hop away, stretch out all their arms/weapons, spin around at high speed, and lunge at you.
If you use the Cryonis Rune to create a pillar of ice under them (or use the Magnesis Rune on the metal pillar where the Scout Guardian is standing to rise it up) while they begin to stretch out their arms/weapons, they will begin to spin, fall off the platform and cancel the spin attack like it would normally but the arms/weapons will still spin around for a little while (until it the end of the programmed timer for the spin attack).
If you use the Cryonis Rune to create a pillar of ice (or use the Magnesis Rune on the metal pillar to rise it up) while they are lunging at you at a specific timing so the platform rise up while they are passing on it, making them fly in the air in the process, different results can occur. If you do nothing more than that, it will have the same effect as mentionned before where it will stop its attack but its arms/weapons will still spin for a little while (sometimes, it can be stuck for a moment until it does another spin attack that will cancel itself ; otherwise, it will stop after it does a regular attack or just after some time). Or, if you attack it two times with a one-handed weapon (that is not an elemental weapon, or the glitch will not occur) after it lands on the ground and is still spinning its arms/weapons, it will become completely immobile. Depending on when you attacked it, it can stand immobile with its weapons facing the ceiling if you actually damaged it, but only after he shots its mini-lasers (in which state, it is just immobile and its hitbox remains normal) or with its weapons on the side like when they spin around if you actually hit its shield (otherwise, nothing will happen). In this second state, most attacks seems to be magically absorbed by its shield (you can actually see the attack being absorbed by the shield even if you are actually hitting it elsewhere), though there is most of the time an area that is vulnerable (this area and its size really depends on when it freezes, but sometimes for example the shield is ironically vulnerable). If you look closely, you can also notice that the Scout Guardian is sliding slowly and can also be pushed around little by little. It will stay frozen like this infinitely but can "reboot" it if you hit it with a weapon thrown or hit it with a weapon that breaks itself or hit it with an elemental attack.)

And you need to have at least the Magnesis and Stasis Runes, and a weapon. Go to the Ja Baij Shrine and behind it, you will find on the edge of the Great Plateau a metallic door on which you can use the Stasis Rune to move it around. Do so to place it higher and on the edge, up and right of where it was, in such a way that it faces the Lake Hylia and points to the islands in the middle of the lake. Use the Stasis rune on the door, charge it with your weapon to the maximum in such a way so it will launch in direction of these islands, go on top of it before the Stasis Rune runs out of time and, if done correctly, you will be to fly and land in the lake, and be able to escape the Great Plateau early.
Strangely enough, there is only a quite large square area in the Lake Hylia where the death barrier preventing you to escape the Great Plateau does not exist. In Hyrule, you can interact with everything normally. Though, even if you escape the death barrier, it does not disappear once for all and you can actually still interact with it if you move in Hyrule away from the fog area above you or if you climb up to the fog area. If you touch the death barrier while being anywhere in Hyrule, you will be teleported back at the default place, in front of the entry of the Shrine of Resurrection. You can also fall down in the ground in the Shrine of Resurrection after doing this glitch for some reasons. Also, when outside the Great Plateau, if you follow the contour of the Great Plateau, around the Owa Daim Shrine, further to the West, right in between the Taobab Grassland and the Grinnden Plains, there is a little mountain, which almost touch the death barrier and where you are actually considered in-game in the Great Plateau (you can even see the name of the Great Plateau appears when you reach the top of the mountain) while it is not normally accessible before escaping it, on which you can respawn if you touch the death barrier there, but also which can make you glitch in an infinite "falling into the Void" sequence where you will lose all your hearts if you go somewher like on the more West edge of this little mountain.)

One example of a place where this glitch works is to the shore on the East of the Dah Kaso Shrine.)

Gut Check Challenge Gitch (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7HM_bWHtHQM) - 16/03 by Arturo Navarro (If you complete The Gut Check Challenge Shrine Quest, before gaining access to the Gorae Torr Shrine, with enough ruppies but a time of 00:00, Bayge of the Goron Blood Brothers will first say that you did not actually complete the challenge, then immediately says that you did successfully finish the challenge, like he would when completing the quest and giving you access to the shrine, and then immediately says again that you did successfully finish the challenge, but this time giving you a Rushroom as a reward, as if you completed the challenge normally after completed the quest.
If you want an easy way to do it, climb normally the mountain and pick up enough ruppies, and when you just reach the top, do not take a step forward, hold the "Focus" button and wait for the timer to reach around one second : knowing that you can stop time at will whenever you change runes, weapons or shields, while still seeing the timer (which is not the case when going into the menus), use this at your advantage to make a few milliseconds pass so you are around 40 centiseconds remaining, then push forward on the analog stick, immediately use the "Jump" button and then the "Action" button, so you do a shield-jump.
From now on, if you enter and go out normally of the Gorae Torr Shrine, teleport to the Gorae Torr Shrine or pass the trigger zone activating normally the end of the challenge, Bayge will immediatly congratulate you for succeeding the challenge and give you again your reward as if you actually completed the challenge. You can do this infinitely and receive Rushrooms as much as you want (but not the ruppies sadly). Also, every time you pass the trigger zone normally activating the "fleeing" ending of the challenge, Bayge will immediatly scold you for going away and take off the last amount of ruppies you actually collect on your last challenge, even if you are not actually in the challenge, and this everytime you pass the trigger (so be careful because you can lose all of your ruppies this way) : teleporting to another shrine is the only way to escape this trigger and not lose your ruppies. You can see that the ascending air flows around the place are in the same state as if the challenge was activated, they don't go all the way up to the submit of the mountain. You can also see that the ruppies for the challenge are still there, and they will always respawn if you go away and back to the area (which means this glitch gives you a free and infinite amount of ruppies to collect in one place). The ruppies you collect there will add up on the count of ruppies you collected during the challenge, updating the number of ruppies Bayge says you collected but also the number of ruppies Bayge takes off from you when you flee the challenge (making you lose even more ruppies then if you pass the "fleeing" trigger).
If you try the Super Gut Check Challenge (it does not matter if you win or lose or flee the challenge), have enough ruppies to succeed the challenge and pass the trigger zone activating normally the end of the challenge, you will now receive instead an Endura Shroom and this everytime you pass the trigger zone. You can also now collect the ruppies from this challenge on the mountain, even if you go far away from it (they actually do respawn if you go far enough), and they will also add up on the count of ruppies you collected during the challenge. However, entering and going out of any shrine or teleporting to any place will make the game go back to the normal challenge, with now the ruppies from the normal challenge on the mountain, and Bayge will now give you again Rushrooms.
Note that everytime you go see Bayge and try any of the two challenges, the count of ruppies will be reseted. Also, saving actually lock the glitch in your save file and there is no way to undo the glitch, so be careful if you don't want this glitch to stay around. Also, the game will not save the amount of ruppies you collected from your last challenge, so if you load a save and go see Bayge, he will not give a reward until you actually collect 100 ruppies on the mountain.)

(Launched Objects Despawning Oddity : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qpAir5by_hE - 18/03 by n gc (If you use the Stasis Rune on an object and charge it to the maximum so it flies far away, the object will dispawned after reaching a certain distance (making objects lose their property, like TNT Barrels will not explode after reaching the despawn point for example). It is intended for objects to despawn when too far from Link, but it is quite odd when it comes from an object Link has directly interacted with so it goes that far away.)
