Bottle Adventure Problem

I have an idea about how to solve the problem "Bottle Adventure".
What do you think about setting up a spoiler extension like on our forums which shows the tables of the values if you click on "[Reveal]" for example? (See here and here) --VerführerSIG.JPG[P] [T] [C] 19:10, 29 June 2011 (CDT)

I've actually thought about that for various other projects. The only problem is that it would require JavaScript, and I'm not sure that we have it or if it would be easy to install :( If Death99 or JayTheHam are able to, though, you could see what they think about installing it, as they're the only site admins. Oh okay. I hope there is a way to set it up. Otherwise I'll think about other solutions... --VerführerSIG.JPG[P] [T] [C] 09:06, 30 June 2011 (CDT)
The list of possible values and their corresponding items could be moved to a separate page, that would half the length, and that list is universal, in the sense that items are always mapped to those values. Not sure that there's any other glitches that make use of that but cheat codes do.Zcwikiadmin 18:43, 30 June 2011 (CDT)

Beta Categories

How should the categories be named? For example, OoT and MM Beta sections both contain Gameshark - Should then the category be [[Category:Gameshark]]? --VerführerSIG.JPG[Talk] [Contrib] 16:48, 11 July 2011 (CDT)

I'm not sure. I guess if you want to add categories to them, whatever you think will work would be fine. If you want to make it like the glitch pages, you could add the game categories (i.e. [[Category:Ocarina of Time]] or [[Category:Wind Waker]]), then add Beta Content categories (i.e. [[Category:Ocarina of Time Beta Content]] or [[Category:Wind Waker Beta Content]]). That's all I can think of right now, though. - Zafum 18:29, 11 July 2011 (CDT)
Well, then I'll do it as such. --VerführerSIG.JPG[Talk] [Contrib] 16:19, 12 July 2011 (CDT)

Glitches by Area

About the 'glitches by area' thing, I would be happy to do Minish Cap, Phantom Hourglass, Spirit Tracks and OoT if we went ahead with this. Someone else would have to make categories though as I don't know how to do that.

Forum Skin

I found some interesting skins here. --VerführerSIG.JPG[Talk] [Contrib] 11:48, 9 August 2011 (CDT)

Difficulty Ratings

We also had a discussion about difficulty rating. See here. --VerführerSIG.JPG[Talk] [Contrib] 10:39, 1 September 2011 (CDT)

Glitch Classification

What about something like:

  • Lock-ups
  • Void Glitches
  • Inaccesible Areas
  • Early Items
  • Ghost Glitches (Walk through walls and the like)

Also, (I don't know about wiki coding, but I can do bits of C#) is there a way to store a category in a string variable and then insert the string into a page, meaning glitches need only to be added to a cat. and the page will be updated automatically, saving all the hassle of updating two parallel pages?

Just a suggestion, Curly 11:22, 3 January 2012 (CST)

This sounds like a good idea, but we would need to come up with more categories than that, otherwise each category page would be cluttered with glitches. If we can brainstorm more categories, then I'll start on this. What about categories such as:
  • Early Places
  • Early Items
  • Out of Bounds Areas
  • Lock-ups/Crashes
  • Item Skips
  • Location Skips
  • Boss/Enemy Skips
  • Item Glitches
  • Music/Scenery Glitches

I would put the Void Glitches and Inaccessible Areas into one category, "Out of Bounds Areas" since they're all alike. I've already been helping a lot with the Glitches by Area project, so I'm sort of tired of it, so I'm looking forward to working on a different project for a while. :P The Link Between Worlds (talk) 19:14, 4 January 2014 (EST)
