Instructions

1. Go to Lake Hylia as Adult Link, and enter the Lakeside Laboratory.
2. As you enter, there is a shelf to your right with a crab on it.
3. Climb onto this shelf.
4. Walk away from the wall.

Result

The air just beyond where the shelf ends is solid, allowing you to stand on nothing in front of the shelf.

Notes

This glitch does not work in the 3DS version, not because the invisible floor has been removed, but because you can no longer climb onto the shelf.
