Instructions
- Perform the "Any item Epona" glitch.
- Do not get off Epona, go to Romani Ranch sometime around 3:00am on the night of the first day.
- Head over to the barn, and make no attempt to stop the Aliens.
- Watch carefully as the Aliens disappear into the barn, as the "skirt" of the last one disappears pause the game.
- The time should now be 3:48 (check it using your notebook). Start unpausing then pausing the game repeatedly, keep checking the time and stop once the time changes to 3:49.
- Unpause and pause the game twice more.
- Unpause the game and immediately take out the Ocarina.
- Play the Song of Double Time and choose yes, to advance to the dawn of the second day.
Result
You will now appear in the alternate ranch without Epona.
Wherever you go from here you will appear on Epona, even if you enter somewhere you normally can't take her.
If you take her into the house then go into the bedroom, she will be gone when you come out.
In the Cucco shack she can't walk down the ramp, you can get her down by jumping over part of the fence around the raised area.
If you take part in a Doggy race she'll be gone when it finishes.
Notes
- If you take out your Ocarina about 1/4 second later than you're supposed to, then the fading effect will take place while Link has the Ocarina out. The cutscene of the aliens invading the barn will start like normal, but you can still play the Ocarina while the cutscene is going, the "Alien Music" and all the other sounds during the cutscene will be silent (which normally happens whenever you have the Ocarina out), pressing B to 'Stop' will not work. If you play a song, the last note will sound longer (just like it does when you normally play a song) and nothing will happen no matter what song you've played, the only thing that happens is that Link 'Stops' playing the Ocarina and the tunes will not work. When you let the cutscene finish without playing a song (so Link still has his Ocarina out) Link automatically pulls out his Ocarina (again) when you regain control of him. This glitch only works while taking out the Ocarina when sitting on Epona.
