Requirements
- You must not have the Bombers' Notebook yet.
Instructions
- Accept Jim's challenge from North Clock Town as a human.
- Do not finish the challenge yet. Make it nighttime.
- Do Any Item Epona glitch. Warp Epona to Clock Town.
- Finish the challenge.
- If you did not dismount in the area where you finished the challenge, you will appear on Epona during dialogue.
- The Bombers' Notebook reward will be suspended after dialogue. Do not dismount.
- Wait until 12:00-12:30am for the old lady to appear for Sakon the thief to rob.
- After the old lady cried for help, dismount.
- You will receive the Bombers' Notebook. Do not skip the dialogue and wait until Sakon leaves the area.
- The screen will fade, bringing you to the cutscene with the old lady.
Result
After dialogue with the old lady, you will notice registering her to your notebook. You can also see that the Bomber kids didn't get registered.
Notes
- Jim no longer exists. The Bomber kids will treat you like the challenge never happened and never reminds you the code.
- Jim will be back after you go back in time, so you can retake the challenge. Note that finishing the challenge as a Deku Scrub will not get them registered to your notebook, and only if you did it as human.
- It is possible to get Epona in Clock Town without doing the Any Item Epona glitch. Simply save from an owl statue in Clock Town, then on another save file, save from any owl statue on Epona. Return to the first owl save file, the one from Clock Town, and you will be on Epona. This is why, technically, PAL and GC are also compatible versions in this way.
