Instructions

1. Put on the Mask of Scents.
2. Press and hold Z.
3. Take off the Mask of Scents.

Result

Link will finish the current sniffing animation before acting like he normally should without the mask on. How long he sniffs without the mask on depends on how far through the animation he was.

Also, if you hold Z then put on the Mask of Scents Link will not sniff at all.
