Instructions
- Go outside Clocktown and go anti-clockwise around the outer wall.
- You should eventually see a Guay (little black bird) flying the opposite way around the walls.
- Pull out the Ocarina/Pipes/Drums/Guitar as it flies overhead and play the Sonata of Awakening, Goron Lullaby or New Wave Bossa Nova, it will begin to fly faster and drop rupees.
- Chase after it until it drops a red rupee, then quickly pull out the bow and try to shoot it.
- The bow will "twang" as though you have no arrows and the Guay will fly up into the sky, just before it disappears your bow might start shooting arrows (if it doesn't try again).
- If you hit it before it disappears, it will squawk, start to spiral downwards then just stay floating in midair while rotating. It won't disappear and it won't usually come down. Sometimes though, it does come down.
Result
If you pull out the Hookshot in step four instead of the bow and try to shoot the Guay with it, Link will freeze in place. The game doesn't freeze though, if you're near an enemy it will attack you but do no damage.
Once I shot at the Guay with my bow while on Epona and the game crashed i.e.: the screen turned black and the red debug line came up, I've never managed to make it happen again though.
