Instructions

1. On the first day, go into the Stock Pot Inn.
2. Wait around until the Goron comes in to collect his key.
3. After he has gone to his room, talk to Anju as normal Link and say you are staying the night. She'll say she's sorry but they're booked full.
4. Change into Goron/Zora Link and talk to her again, she'll say they're full then comment on the fact that she may have already told you this, and her mother is always telling her to remember peoples faces.

Result

Her comment infers that she remembers your face, except that you're now a completely different race, perhaps an oversight or shortcut by programmers.

Similarly, the receptionist in the Mayor's office will ask if you want to hear her directions again after you've spoken to her once, no matter which Link you were the first time and which the second.
