Instructions

1. Go to the Great Bay Skulltula House.
2. Enter the library (the room with all the bookcases, to the left as you come through the very first door).
3. Go around the room to the right and use the empty shelves on the first bookcase you come to to climb to the top of it.
4. Put on the Captain's Hat and talk to the Stalchild up here.

Result

He'll jump to the ground and start talking to you, even though Link is up on the bookcase where he just was.
