Instructions

1. Put a fairy in a bottle.
2. As a child or an adult, go to Death Mountain Crater. Do not wear the Goron Tunic.
3. Stand near the edge of the instant-death lava and wait until the timer is about to run out.
4. When the timer is about to hit zero, jump. Make sure that you're in midair as the timer hits zero.

Result

When Link hits the lava, he'll die from the area's heat, but the fairy will revive him. For a few brief moments you'll be invincible, and can walk around in the instant-death lava. Then, the invincibility will wear off and you will be warped back to the entrance, like you normally would be.
