Restricted items glitch

Can u do the restricted items glitch as a child?

I actually found a easier way to do it as a child/big link where to me it seems like you have more time to do the glitch. But i dont know if i should post it as a glitch (plus i dont know how to post glitches) but i just need a second appinion.

At your problem: ZCW has a Glitch Posting Guidline - A guidline which you have to follow and pay attention when you are posting a new glitch.

Well the way i do it is you put two items (like for instance i was in the temple of time as a kid i put the keaton mask and a with bugs on x and y) then you just pause it and put what ever item you want on x/y that is grayed out and then close the item screen then press x/y and it works every time for me. This does work for you? Then probably yes. The way the glitch normally works is to hit the grayed out button of an item just after the first or second frame after unpausing the game. Are you really sure that you can use the restricted items? If so, we have an alternative way how to perfom this glitch. --^{[Talk] [Contrib]} 20:03, 2 July 2011 (CDT)

Do you have a video on Youtube (or other video site)? To post a video, you'll need a Youtube video, and post it with this code: <video type="youtube" id="XXXXXXXXXXX" width="320"/>, but replace the X's with your video number. The thing is, though, if someone doesn't understand the glitch, then that's fine. I don't really expect everyone to understand a glitch, but there isn't any mention on the Restricted Items glitch page about you needing to use hover/iron boots, so a new glitch page is probable not necessary. - Zafum

Past Glitches

Hi just asking.I found out some glitches (two come to mind) one was in ocarina of time you know how you can walk up a ladder with youre shield.I found out you can go in a hole(like the one to get the kokri sword)with youre shield in blocking postion just like going up a ladder.And the other one is in majoras mask i found out how to get in clock tower on the first day.My question is are these worth posting becouse i know that alot of the people on this site found out glitches i know there not the best but are thy worth posting?

We already have a first day clock tower here; is yours the same one? If not, then it would be great to add. But where did you find out about the shield one? Since I can't find any other glitches like it, feel free to post and create a new page for it if you want. - Zafum

You know, I tried the glitch you posted, but I wasn't able to get it to work. Is there a certain time that you need to press "A" to get in the hole? It wouldn't let me in the hole with my shield up. Well, I have neither the Wii or GCN version; I only have the N64 version. Do you know if it works on the N64? I'm also a bit confused; do you hold R and Z first, or press A first? - Zafum

Thanks, I was able to get it to work great. The instructions had at first seemed to say that you needed to use R and Z first before A. Discovered Box/Recent Changes

I just forgot about adding you as the one who discovered it, sorry. I added your name to the discovered box on the Bottom of the Well Early II now though.

I did want to mention, did you notice the Recent Changes page? You can access it on the side bar, and it tells you what everyone has done recently, like what pages have been made, who's edited what, and when/who might have posted on a talk page. Like if you look there, you'll also be able to tell that Pikachu is the one who posted your glitch on the Ocarina of Time list. Well, just making sure you knew! :D - Zafum 15:15, 5 July 2011 (CDT)

New page naming

Hey, thanks for the work you're putting into the wiki. When you're adding new glitch pages could you please make sure to follow the naming conventions we have set out? Pages should be something like Game name - section - glitch name. If you check recent changes you'll see people are having to rename your pages, so it would be great if you could just do this yourself when you create the page :) Also new pages should have links created to them on the appropriate page(s) so that people can actually find them. If you check the recent changes Special:RecentChanges you'll see that after you added the glitch Bombslide, user Pikachu has renamed it to follow the name convention, and then (later) added a link to the glitch on the Majora's mask miscellaneous glitches page. This is what I mean, if you do it yourself from the start it just saves someone else a little bit of work :) Zcwikiadmin 23:13, 9 August 2011 (CDT)

By adding links to the glitch I mean just add a link from the appropriate glitch index page to the glitch page, so that people can find it without having to search for it, as an example here's the link Pikachu added to the Majora's mask misc glitches page for your bombslide glitch: "Bombslide: Go Bombsliding!". Just look around and see how everything else has been done and try to copy it as best you can :) And check recent changes to see if people are editing pages you've changed or added, and look at the changes they make to see how and what they do.
